Keurig© Coffee Makers on Sale

Do the Keurig© coffee makers use a lot of power?

Keurig® coffee makers are also called home brewers. They use the most electricity during start up. When you turn it on for the first time after being turned off – peak usage is around 1,500 watts of power. If the home brewer power is kept on – the coffee maker will keep it’s internal tank up to the desired temperature using between 200-400 watts when heating up or to maintain the heat.

When the coffee maker is idle – not maintaining heat, the home brewer will use the average electric power of a 60-watt light bulb. It takes about three minutes in the initial heating mode after you turn the power on.
